I’m happy to share with you that StormHub Apps solution is officially launched. It’s a SaaS solution with most common applications you can use in organizing your teams, workload and engaging your customers. As the foundation of the solution, it’s all powered by StormHub Engine and of course it’s all running on our Platform Experience. Read further for more information.
After launching StormHub as a business and making StormHub Engine ready for the first customers, our next step was to launch our first SaaS solution. This solution needs to be powered by StormHub Engine and needs to be able to showcase all Engine features and functionalities. Launching the solution just to say we can do it was not enough. We also wanted to have a valid business model behind it and make solution noticed by customers and maybe eventually grow in self sustainable side business of the StormHub.
After a lot of thinking, and taking all mentioned inputs into the equation, we decide to go for a set of applications which can help teams in organizing their workload, their projects, documentation, but also improve sharing information and engaging with customers in a better way. That’s how the StormHub Apps solution was born.
So, let’s start with the released applications. The first one is Project Manager, where you can organize your project workload in epics, stories, tasks, and issues. To be able to track progress and assign those to your team, you can use Kanban or Sprint boards, where you can easily track progress and status of all items.
There are two applications related to the Project Management: Timesheet Manager and Roadmap Builder. All three applications are using the same project data, which means you can easily link your roadmap items or timesheet entries with project items.
The next two applications are more focused on content which you can deliver to your end users and customers. The first application is Blog Publisher where you can easily manage and publish content on your blog site. Very similar is also Documentation Publisher which is designed to deliver documentation content. Both applications are having the built-in analytic and possibility to customize the theme trough CSS code.
More information about each application you can find here.
Some of you might be wandering why build such the applications on an already crowded market. We are aware of this ourselves, but there were some good reasons why we wanted to go in this direction.
We wanted to create a solution which can offer a complementary set of products and services to the StormHub Engine. That means that for each solution built with Engine we can immediately offer support or documentation solution in the form of Software as a Service.
One of the reasons was also the nature of this kind of applications. With having different applications focusing on different functionalities, but simultaneously have sharing and linking data between them, we can benefit from the concepts of the StormHub Engine and use the same data model across the multiple parts of the solution.
To sum up, this solution really gives a nice overview of all components, features, and capabilities of our Engine, but also of the whole Platform behind it.
New applications, like Support Manager or Documentation Builder are around a corner. Beside new applications we also want to keep improving existing ones. We see a lot of potential for new features and functionalities, but we also want to hear feedback from our customers as we really want to provide a solution which they need, and they would be happy to use. So, if you have any kind of recommendations or feedback, let us know.
